Lightweight database IDE as a VS Code extension, aiming to match DataGrip / Navicat workflows.

Tags: VS Code, Node.js, Database

## Overview

Daeva is a lightweight database IDE built as a VS Code extension, aiming to match the workflows of DataGrip, Navicat, TablePlus, and DBeaver — without leaving your editor.

## The Problem

Database work usually means switching between your editor and a heavyweight desktop IDE. Developers want to browse schemas, run queries, and inspect results inline, but existing tools are either heavy, paid, or force a separate application.

## The Solution

Daeva turns VS Code into a full database client. Write and execute queries inline, browse results in a grid, and manage multiple connections without leaving the editor. It is built with a clean architecture so each database dialect is swappable, and components are crafted from scratch for full control rather than relying on third-party libraries.

## Key Outcomes

- **Inline Workflow:** Execute queries and browse results without leaving your editor.
- **Swappable Dialects:** Clean architecture keeps each database dialect swappable.
- **Lightweight:** Built as a VS Code extension — no heavyweight desktop app.
